SCOTT Spark RC World Cup 2026: Race-Ready at $11,500 — Darwin Review

Flight Attendant, SRAM X0 AXS wireless, Syncros carbon wheels — the 2026 SCOTT Spark RC World Cup at $11,500 beats Giant and Trek. Available at Blue Cycles Darwin.

The 2026 SCOTT Spark RC World Cup at $11,500 is the bike built around one idea: Flight Attendant electronic suspension paired with SRAM's X0 Eagle AXS Transmission wireless drivetrain on a full carbon race chassis, at a price that doesn't require you to sell a car. This is a genuine UCI-level XC race bike. The name is not marketing. The Spark RC platform in various guises has won more XC World Cup races than any other frame in history, and the 2026 World Cup model is the most capable sub-$12,000 XC race bike available in Australia.

Flight Attendant: Fully Automatic Electronic Suspension

The World Cup runs RockShox SID Ultimate Flight Attendant fork and RockShox SIDLuxe Ultimate Flight Attendant rear shock — the same automatic electronic suspension system found on the $15,000 World Cup Evo and $16,500 SL above it. Flight Attendant reads trail input and rider power 200 times per second, opening and firming both ends of the bike independently and automatically. On Darwin's hardpack trails and the technical rocky sections of the Top End's dry season trail network, the difference is immediate: the bike is more efficient on climbs, more composed on descents, and more confidence-inspiring through technical terrain than any manually controlled suspension setup.

The SID Ultimate is RockShox's flagship XC fork — the Race Day damper provides a three-position tune (Lockout, Pedal, Descend) that Flight Attendant manages automatically. The SIDLuxe Ultimate pairs it at the rear with Solo Air spring technology and the same three-position automated damper.

SRAM X0 Eagle AXS Transmission

The drivetrain is SRAM X0 Eagle AXS Transmission — a 12-speed fully wireless electronic groupset sitting one level below SRAM's flagship XX SL. X0 AXS delivers the same wireless shifting precision as XX SL at a marginally higher weight, and in real-world riding the difference is imperceptible. The 10-52T cassette covers every gear ratio you'll encounter from Darwin's flat coastal paths to the longest climbs in the NT's dry season riding calendar. Braking is handled by SRAM Motive 4-piston hydraulic disc brakes — the same calipers found on the top-end models in the range.

HMF Carbon + Syncros Silverton CF2 Wheels

The frame is Gen5 HMF carbon with the full Syncros Octopus Gen2 integrated cockpit, adjustable head angle geometry, and UDH compatibility. Wheels are Syncros Silverton CF2 carbon — 30mm internal, tubeless-ready, 24H lacing pattern. The CF2 carbon rim is the same wheel specification found on the Expert and Team Issue below, and represents a genuine performance upgrade over alloy: lighter, stiffer, faster accelerating, more precise through corners.

How It Compares

At $11,500, the Spark RC World Cup directly undercuts any equivalent XC race bike from Giant, Trek, or Merida. The Giant Anthem Advanced SL 1 — with SRAM XX AXS and carbon wheels but no Flight Attendant — is $14,999. The Trek Supercaliber SLR with Flight Attendant equivalent spec runs to $16,000+. The Spark RC World Cup delivers Flight Attendant, X0 AXS, and Syncros carbon wheels for $11,500. If you're choosing in this price bracket, the Spark RC World Cup is extremely difficult to beat on value.

Who Is the Spark RC World Cup For?

The World Cup is for the Darwin rider who races seriously or wants race-ready hardware for dry season trail missions and DORC events. It's the natural step up from the Team Issue ($9,500) for riders who want SRAM's X0 groupset over GX and are comfortable at this price point. It's also the entry point into the top three Spark RC models — all of which run Flight Attendant — for riders who want the full automated suspension experience without reaching into the $15,000+ tier.
