Verified dates and details for DORC's Sunday social ride and Monsoon Madness, DTC's Progressive Triathlon, and DCC's crit training and Mango Madness Team Time Trial.
The build-up is here, but there's still plenty happening on Darwin's cycling and triathlon calendar. This roundup covers the confirmed events for the rest of October and into November. Riders from Darwin and Palmerston are welcome at all of them. Details come from each club's official listings, as checked on 17 October 2026. Always check with the organiser before you head out, because times and details can change.
Darwin Off Road Cyclists (DORC)
Every Sunday at 4:30pm: social ride. All rider levels are welcome at the Old Pine Forest entrance, Howard Springs. DORC posts any weather cancellations on its social media.
Saturday 14 November: Monsoon Madness. This is on the DORC calendar, but the location and time haven't been confirmed yet. Watch DORC's events page.
Darwin Triathlon Club (DTC)
Friday 13 to Saturday 14 November: Progressive Triathlon (come and try). The legs are spread over two days. The swim is at the Waterfront on Friday evening, the 20km ride is at Hidden Valley at 7:00am Saturday, and the 5km run is on the lawns opposite the Ski Club on Saturday evening. Beginners and non-members are welcome, and team entry is available. Registration hasn't opened yet. DTC's listing gives both 5:30pm and 6:00pm for the Friday swim, so check the time with the club.
Darwin Cycling Club (DCC)
Hidden Valley Crit Training. DCC lists sessions at Hidden Valley Raceway at 6:00pm (gates open 5:30pm) on 22 and 29 October, then 5, 12, 19 and 26 November. You need an AusCycling membership.
Sunday 8 November: Mango Madness Team Time Trial, Hidden Valley Raceway. Teams of three ride seven laps of the 5.13km circuit plus an access-road ascent. If the ascent isn't available, the race moves to the main track (about 36km). Sign-on runs 6:15–6:45am, the briefing is at 6:50am and the first team starts at 7:00am. It's open to MTB, triathlon, hybrid, TT and road bikes in safe condition, with men's, women's and mixed categories. You need an AusCycling membership or licence; options include a $44 One Day Event Licence and a free 30-day trial. Tickets are free for DCC members and $5 for other AusCycling members.
