The Pirelli P ZERO SmarTUBE is the most advanced inner tube in Pirelli's range. It was developed for the lightness and handling demands of World Tour professionals, first appearing inside the P ZERO Race Tub SL, and is now available to every rider.

Standard butyl is replaced with TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane), an advanced material with excellent elasticity and mechanical strength. Pirelli says the result can be up to 70% lighter and up to 50% more compact than an equivalent butyl tube, with the same puncture resistance. It's a great upgrade for riders still on a standard clincher set-up, and a light, compact spare for tubeless-ready tyres.

Features

  • TPU construction: up to 70% lighter than an equivalent butyl tube (Pirelli)
  • Up to 50% more compact, so it's ideal as a spare in a saddle bag or jersey pocket
  • As resistant to punctures as an equivalent butyl tube (Pirelli)
  • Compatible with disc and rim brakes
  • Black Presta valve, available in 60mm or 80mm lengths

Which valve length?

Choose a valve at least about 15–20mm longer than your rim depth, so there's enough valve showing to attach a pump. As a guide, the 60mm valve suits rims up to about 40–45mm deep, and the 80mm valve suits deeper rims.
