Core Service — $325

The Core Service is designed for regular riders who want to keep their bike running smoothly, safely and reliably. Recommended every 4–6 months for bikes that see consistent use.

At Blue Cycles, we keep the process simple and transparent. When you drop your bike off, one of our experienced mechanics will look it over with you and confirm the work required before anything begins. If you’re in a rush, no problem — we can send the quote through by SMS for approval.

The Core Service includes:

Thorough clean of the frame, fork and wheels
Full drivetrain degrease and removal of old lubricant
Spoke tension checked and adjusted in the truing stand
Braking surfaces cleaned and de-glazed
Gear and brake cables lubricated where possible
Gears adjusted, including derailleur hanger alignment
Brakes adjusted for safe operation
Hub bearings checked for movement and adjusted where required
Headset bearings checked for movement and adjusted where required
Crankset and bottom bracket checked for movement and adjusted where required
Seatpost and pedals removed, cleaned and re-greased where possible
Tyres inflated to recommended pressure
All bolts and fasteners checked
Final test ride, safety check and second mechanic check-over to ensure your bike is operating as it should

We use the same high-quality lubricants, cleaners and workshop consumables during your service that we sell in store.

Please note: Parts and additional labour are not included. If anything extra is required beyond the original quote, we’ll contact you for approval before going ahead.
